Early morning…. Was at the airport 2:00am…. 20 mins later security, baggage drop and passport control done. 2 hours to boarding. Leaving 5:15am… Not much sleep…

Last day
So this is the last day. Leaving early tomorrow morning…, Time for breakfast soon. Then we will go for a walk. Meet up with the rest at the Carmel market later. Checked in and did a rough packing of my suitcase.
Volunteering
Volunteering this morning. Archeological dig later. After the hopefully beautiful sunset, a walk to Jaffa along the beach. Fun volunteering for Leket Israel. Packing cucumbers and removing bad leaves from cabbages. Archeological dig was fun as well. A bit dusty, though. One found some pottery with greek letters on it. Eilat area
Hanging around in Eilat today… Also hiking for an hour. Actually we stay some 6km south of Eilat. Only 4km from the Egypt border. Nice day. Underwater Observatory – Dolphin Reef – Red Canyon

Walk on snake path is cancelled due to bad weather. Done it before, so it was not too important. Probably there would have been too clouded to see any sunrise. Nice museum at the entrance. We started out with breakfast, before taking our bus to the Dung gate. Walked into Davidson park for the ceremony. After the ceremony we walked up to a cafe to eat the bat mitzvah cake, which was transported from England. It looked superb and tested very well.
